Greg, over at  The Talent Show, talks about the loving Pat Roberts' latest comments on Ariel Sharon's recent stroke:  Is God A Murderer? Pat Robertson Thinks So.

He keeps it more succint than I  could:

The Rev. Pat Robertson said Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is being punished by God for dividing the Land of Israel. Robertson, speaking on the “700 Club” on Thursday, suggested Sharon, who is currently in an induced coma, and former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, assassinated by an Israeli extremist in 1995, were being treated with enmity by God for dividing Israel. “He was dividing God’s land,” Robertson said. “And I would say, Woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the E.U., the United Nations or the United States of America. God says, This land belongs to me. You better leave it alone.”

And the parting line:

I hadn't realized that god was an assassin who takes orders from televangelists. I'm sure prayer time at the Robertson household is a hoot :

"Dear Jesus, please kill the following people...."

Yeah, let's just go over this once more.  A man who cons people into giving him money to uphold the Christian way of life (whatever that is) and then uses his pulpit to spew hate at whomever he wants is not a Reverend in any sense of the word.  He's certainly not a Christian.

More psychotropically induced yammerings from our favorite "Christian" broadcaster:

"I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: if there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God, you just rejected Him from your city," Robertson said on his daily television show broadcast from Virginia, "The 700 Club."

"And don't wonder why He hasn't helped you when problems begin, if they begin. I'm not saying they will, but if they do, just remember, you just voted God out of your city. And if that's the case, don't ask for His help because he might not be there," he said.

Should we take old PR seriously, especially after he advocated assassinating a head of state (Chavez of Venenzuela), and then denied saying it, and then apologized for being 'frustrated'?

Is that his plan?  Communicate 'secret messages' to his followers through outrageous statements, and show us how far hallucinogens (or maybe, senility) will take you? 

Pat, clearly you missed the memo from the Dover Cares school board candidates (thankfully successful in Tuesday's elections)  that said they're not out to eliminate the discussion of ID from the schools.  They just do not want so-called science in a real science class, and have said it's fine if the intelligent design "theory" is taught in an elective religion course.

STFU again Pat!  Dover will get along just fine without your  God's 'protection'.    And when i say 'your God', i mean the drug-induced one that only you have  a direct line to. 

Seriously Pat, go fuck yourself.  Or at least lay off the drugs...

Pat Roberts mouths off again, on the Harriet Miers SCOTUS nomination:

“These so-called movement conservatives don’t have much of a following, the ones that I’m aware of. And you just marvel, these are the senators, some of them who voted to confirm the general counsel of the ACLU to the Supreme Court, and she was voted in almost unanimously. And you say, ‘now they’re going to turn against a Christian who is a conservative picked by a conservative President and they’re going to vote against her for confirmation?’ Not on your sweet life, if they want to stay in office.”

Just STFU!, Pat.  You're actually making veiled threats to sitting U.S. Congressmen?  You really are bat shit crazy, making threats against everyone form Hugo Chavez to the entire city of New Orleans.  Why do people even take you seriously anymore???
